How to Submit Your Work
What we read first, what we ignore, and how to give your story a chance
Words by XAVIE MAXIMUS Editorial · 4 September 2026

We publish work from people we have never met. That is the point of an open submission process, and it only works if the submission is legible.
Send the edit, not the archive. Eight to twelve frames that hold one idea beat sixty frames that hold none. If you cannot explain the story in two sentences, it is not finished.
Send full credits. Photographer, model, styling, hair, makeup, set, and any garments credited to their maker. Missing credits are the single most common reason a strong story waits. If someone in the frame has not agreed to publication, tell us.
Send usable files. Web-sized images for review, high resolution only if we ask. Name the files. Include your city and your links.
Tell us what is true. We do not publish claims of representation, partnership or affiliation that we cannot verify, and we would rather run a smaller credit line than a wrong one.
We read everything. We do not publish everything, and we cannot promise a date. If your work is not right for us this month it may be right in three, so keep sending.
